After years of training the next generation of physicians, Dr. Raitzin left academic medicine to build the practice he always believed primary care could be. Dr. Brian Raitzin, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician here to serve as you and your family's most trusted medical resource. His experience spans the full scope of Family Medicine: pediatrics, adult medicine, women’s health and geriatrics, as well as inpatient hospitalist medicine and labor and delivery. This wide-ranging foundation means that no matter where you or your family are in life, he brings firsthand experience and a deeply informed perspective to your care.
Dr. Raitzin trained and practiced at UConn Health, where he served as an Assistant Professor, faculty attending, and clerkship director — shaping the next generation of physicians by instilling the values he holds most dear: critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and clear, compassionate communication with patients.
Dr. Raitzin’s approach is simple: you should never be expected to simply follow a recommendation without understanding why. When patients are educated, involved, and empowered, real outcomes improve, and that's always the goal. He practices with complete transparency, bringing no allegiance to any single school of thought, only an objective, multidisciplinary approach for what makes the most sense for you as an individual.
Every new patient relationship begins the same way with time.
